Reed Sweet Grass -  Glyceria Maxima

This plant is a real threat to the washes. Normally it only grows in the water channels, but in a wet spring/summer, it can take over whole areas. The first picture was taken in 1998, the year of the Easter floods, when Glyceria took over vast areas.
